An Tuatha dé Danann first landed on Sliabh an Iarainn in County Leitrim, but they left their mark in every county of Ireland. Evidence of existence is still visible today. They are strongly associated with many of Ireland’s mysterious monuments e.g. Carrowkeel, Loughcrew, Knowth and Newgrange. They were also said to have made their homes at various locations e.g. The Hill of Uisneach and The Hill of Tara.
Many of the Irish mythological places mentioned in ‘The Violet Mist’ are very real and can easily be visited. (accompanied by a parent or guardian of course!).
The only exception is ‘Tir Na nÓg’ but, with a little imagination and a magical boat, you’ll get there!!!
